Mission of AzCATs
AzCATs works in partnership with communities and in collaboration with other organizations to eliminate cat overpopulation through non-lethal methods.

Strategic Direction

  • AzCATs serves as a leader in Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) by developing and implementing innovative programs to humanely end the breeding cycle for feral and other free-roaming cats.
  • AzCATs designs and delivers educational programs that promote community and social responsibility for ending the use of euthanasia as a means of controlling cat overpopulation.

Vision of AzCATs
AzCATs’ vision is to have a world where no kittens are born wild on the street, where no cat capable of living in a home is lacking one, and where no adult feral cats go wanting for food, water, and appropriate care and concern.

Priorities
Recognizing that difficult choices must sometimes be made, AzCATs has adopted the following priorities for our organization to help guide our decision-making process:

1st Priority:     To humanely end the breeding cycle.
2nd Priority:    To save the lives of as many cats as possible.
3rd Priority:     To find safe, loving indoor-only homes for outdoor cats.

Meet our staff.

AzCATs Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) Goal for 2006: is to humanely end the breeding cycle for 7,800 cats. We will also try to set a new record by sterilizing 800 or more cats in a single month.
